Umi Feeds started out with a simple desire of not wanting to see good food go to waste. To date, they have served over 10,000 meals to homeless men and women in Atlanta, Miami, New York, and Mississippi.
Recently, Umi Feeds reached out to the Atlanta community for volunteers, and Bro. David Blake headed the call. He also shared a few words regarding his experience;
"Serving our community with #Umifeeds was a wonderful experience. Working with an amazing team helping our local brothers and sisters was most rewarding. I have personally experienced hunger during my earlier years of life and can relate to the
hardship and stress. The opportunity to help others in need is satisfying beyond explanation. A healthy wholesome meal is more than essential; it can truly make
one's day brighter."
