The End of Summer Social Returns

What began as an intimate gathering built around fellowship, community, celebration, and a shared appreciation for cigar culture has steadily evolved into one of Beta Psi Omega's signature fundraising initiatives. Along the way, the event has expanded its reach, elevated its experience, and strengthened its impact.

On the evening of Saturday, September 12, 2026, the DeKalb County Alumni Chapter of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. will host the fourth installment of the End of Summer Social. Each edition of the event has reflected its moment in time, from its beginnings as Sticks & Style, an intimate gathering centered on fellowship, community, celebration, and a shared appreciation for cigar culture, to Ashes to Embers, which marked the event's return and renewal. This year's edition:

Kinetic Fusion

The name reflects the energy of the event and the community it brings together. The End of Summer Social has become more than a social gathering. It serves as a platform that brings together community leaders, Divine Nine organizations, supporters, and friends for an evening designed to foster meaningful connections while advancing a larger purpose.

That purpose is impact.

Through the support of attendees, sponsors, and community partners, the End of Summer Social has helped facilitate $30,000 in donations supporting youth eSports initiatives in DeKalb County schools. These contributions help expand access to technology, gaming, STEM engagement, and digital learning opportunities for students throughout the community.

As the event has matured, so too has the experience.

Guests can expect a thoughtfully curated evening featuring live entertainment, a professional DJ, premium cigar experiences, elevated hospitality, and an atmosphere intentionally designed to encourage conversation, fellowship, and engagement. The goal is simple: create an experience that feels both refined and approachable while bringing people together in support of a meaningful cause.

This year's event also marks the introduction of a new host venue.

The Summer Social will take place at Indie Studios, located at 190 Ottley Drive NE in Atlanta. Centrally positioned with convenient access to Interstate 85, the venue sits within one of Atlanta's most recognizable craft beverage corridors, nestled between ASW Distillery and SweetWater Brewing Company and just minutes from Midtown, Buckhead, and Downtown Atlanta.

The industrial-modern venue offers expansive indoor and outdoor environments, multiple social gathering spaces, private courtyards, and free on-site parking. Guests will enjoy a completely smoke-free indoor environment, while cigar enthusiasts can take advantage of dedicated outdoor courtyard spaces designed to support the cigar experience without disrupting the comfort of other attendees.

While the venue may be new, the mission remains unchanged.

The End of Summer Social continues to serve as an opportunity to celebrate community, strengthen relationships, and support initiatives that create lasting opportunities for the next generation.
